Hello, everyone! Those of you who find yourself on this site will probably know me as Nutritiously Natasha from Instagram.
I started writing about my food journey a few months ago when I realized that all the doctors and medicines I was using to fight my three chronic illnesses weren’t working. I was getting more and more unwell, and at the age of 24, I thought my life was pretty much over.
I have always believed that food is medicine, and so I started obsessively researching and self-experimenting to try and heal through food.
And you know what? It’s working.
I lead the main plant based, gluten free, refined sugar-free, caffeine free, anti-inflammatory, high nutrient, rotation diet. Oh, and I rarely eat anything out of a packet. Even the good stuff. Sounds crazy, right? Probably. But my body is slowly starting to heal itself and I’m in a place I never thought I could be again.
I have started this food blog to share my specific healing journey through food. I’ll be sharing the bigger picture stuff as well as some of my favorite recipes, and reviews of my favorite products and places to eat.
When I’m not in the kitchen I work as an ‘entrepreneurship guru’ (aka Entrepreneurship Content Manager) for Virgin Unite, as well as being Co-Goddess in Chief of the Health Bloggers Community and the brains behind Plant-Based Picnic. I’m also the founder of the International Political Forum and co-founder Libyan Youth Voices. I occasionally blog for the Huffington Post, and when I have time am the co-Lilliput in chief at The Lilliputian Company and do random freelance stuff.
I now really want to pursue a career that’s somehow related to this field (I recently started a course at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a qualified Integrative Health Coach), and find ways to help and inspire other people to heal through food. This has been a fascinating journey for me, and it shocks me every single day how much of an impact this has had on my life.
